Vacation Home Cottage-Chateau Rental

Property Details Our home sits on a mountain top with a spectacular view. Three bedroom, 3 bath, 2160 square feet Estate Home, nestled among the oaks & pines on nearly 5 acres of land.

In a rural area area of estate homes, it is urrounded by oaks & pines peeking from granite rock outcroppings in the Sierra Nevada Foothills; 20 miles to the Yosemite Gateway.

The home has a 650 square foot wood deck with wrought iron veranda from which you can enjoy breakfast lunch or dinner while you enjoy the view of the mountains, the valley below or the beautiful ever changing sunsets & weather changes from the west coast.

The Million Dollar View includes the Sierra Nevada Foothills (The Gold Country) and the San Joaquin Valley city lights. You won’t want to forget to bring your camera and binoculars. Awesome! Everchanging sites of land & wildlife!

On a clear day you can see California’s Coastal range and watch the developing rain & snow storms coming from off the Pacific Ocean;the Pacific is a half a day’s drive.

This beautiful executive estate-home elite home, was designed for around the view. Four sets of private French doors lead you out onto the dining, reading, view deck and porch. Watch for shooting stars and the everchanging sunset shows each night. Enjoy the view from the living room, kitchen dinette, master suite and spa windows as well as the additional two bedrooms.

The master suite with a Jacuzzi Spa Tub and walk-in shower (no trip step) has its own rear porch & view; we’ve seen bobcats in the wild next door while showering!

This is a fully decorated elegant mountain home in the European style. Comfortable open living areas open to the huge marble fireplace so you, your family or firends will feel at home; this is not in a condo complex shared by many others. The only sound you will hear are the birds, the winds and an occasional coyote.

Relax in front of the wood burning Provencal fireplace with good firends, a glass of wine & a tray of cheese & crackers as the sun sets in the west.

The gourmet kitchen with its Country French theme is separated from the living room only by black marble bar & counter-top so the chef is never left out of the fun! Black tile inserts surround the beige tile kitchen splash to add a dramatic flair.

Stainless steel appliances that include a gas cook-top, a wall oven, a microwave and a dishwasher. The refrigerator-freezer is large and has an ice maker and iced water tap. The dining area table seats six.

Master bedroom has a queen size bed and its own spa bathroom. The additional 2 bedrooms are accommated with beds, closets & dresser drawers; 1 with a double iron antique bed and 1 with twin beds. These 2 bedrooms share a full bath off the hall which adjoins the two bedrooms. This side of the home is separate from the master so it’s ideal for children or teens.

There is a sofa sleeper in the hardwood floor parlor/tea room off the living room.

Hike along the deer paths easily seen from the home and within the Meadow Springs mountain area without having to drive into the Sierra Forest! Allthough the drive to the trees & the many hiking areas is a fun side trip.

As you walk the beautiful trail keep alert for wildlife such as deer, coyotes, bobcats, and many birds in season; quail, dove, wild turkey, blue birds, finches, chickadees, woodpeckers to name a few. Coarsegold is well known for it’s many visiting bird specie.

The nearby Miami mountain trail for mountain bikes and motor bikes, (check local regulations) will take you for miles through the Sierras. Street bike riders love to tour the local mountain roads.

Yosemite National Park offers sightseeing of course; but don’t miss out on the skiing at Badger Pass, (in season), perhaps the best rock climbing in the world, hiking and of course just looking at the beauty; Giant Sequoias in Mariposa Grove, the many famous waterfalls and Half Dome.

The Sierra Nevada Mountain Range is world renown for fishing and hunting in their seasons and is wide spread in the area. You can hike and backpack forever. Contact state and/or federal agencies about licensing requirements for fishing, hunting, hiking and camping & fire burning; some may require permits. There are many lakes in the area including Bass Lake only 30 minutes away, Hensley Lake and Millerton, to name a few. Some offer water skiing, boating & fishing.

For those of you with a liking to hiking “a few” you may hike to the little town of Coarsegold down the hill (approximately 5 miles). An additional 7 miles north will take you to Oakhurst and all services such as gas stations, groceries, hardware stores, movie theatre, antiques and shopping.  Don’t miss the newly opened Vintage Chic Boudoir Boutique offering glamorous mountain wear, vintage clothing from the 1930s to Retro and boudoir delights; on Highway 41 across from the Best Western.

A 30 mile drive to Fresno south you will find Fresno with all the “big box” and the intersting “don’t miss shopping”  in Old Town Clovis with its many quaint shops & antique stores.

The Gold Country road starts in Coarsegold; north on highway 41 to the FAMOUS highway 49 in Oakhurst, named after the “49ers” of course.  Great for a day trip to Mariposa, Angels Camp, Sonora and the many 1849 Gold Rush Towns with museums & interesting histories that you have read about for a lifetime; including Mark Twain and his many stories written while he lived in the area.

Each of the Gold Country towns is unique and offers its own historical haunts, antique & quain shops as well as interesting & entertaining dining. Your trip will be just one more adventure in the Sierra Nevada region!

To complement your adventure; Only ten minutes south on highway 41 from the home is the Chuckchansi Indian Casino, a complete gaming casino with at least 7 restaurants. Chuckchansi also is a major entertainment venue; be sure to book your shows ahead of your visit.

The Fresno-Yosemite International Airport is about 45 minutes south of Coarsegold offering automobile rentals and flights in & out of the area. The airport (FAT) is not giant sized so it is easy to get about, but keep informed about your flight status as the San Joaquin Valley can be very foggy in seasons.
